Libre Computer La Frite Single-board Computer
The Libre Computer La Frite is based on the same architecture as its Le Potato. You'll find fantastic features like 1080p video output, H.265 and H.264 with VP9 decoding, and tons of operating system (OS) support. The Libre Computer La Frite can run the likes of Linux, Android Oreo, Kodi, RetroArch, RetroPie, and LibreELEC.
According to its Kickstarter page, the La Frite is basically a Raspberry Pi 3 in a Raspberry Pi 0 form factor. In GeeBench tests, Libre Computer claims its La Frite beat the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. But it maintains a smaller form factor than the Pi 3.
You'll find a 512MB variant and 1GB model as well. There's a GPIP header, HDMI out, DDR4, and ARM Mali GPU. Since it runs everything from Ubuntu to Lakka and Android, use cases are nearly limitless. Still, because of its low power draw and tiny footprint, even for a SBC, the Libre Computer La Frite is ideal for Internet of Things (IoT) uses.
Pricing tiers are as follows for its Kickstarter campaign:
